HIU Engineer (Foot-Mobile or Van-Based)
Location: London (multiple high-rise sites)
Salary: £35,000 to £55,000 depending on experience + overtime + call-out + van (if applicable)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Type: Permanent, full-time

Overview
We are recruiting an experienced HIU Engineer to join a well established mechanical and energy services business specialising in district heating, plant rooms, and energy centres across London.

This position can be offered as either a foot-mobile role or a van-based role depending on your preference and location. Both options cover high-rise residential and commercial developments and offer the same level of technical exposure, stability, and support.

Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain, and fault-find Heat Interface Units
Work within plant rooms and energy centres across residential and commercial sites
Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
Ensure systems operate safely and in line with site and compliance standards
Communicate professionally with residents, clients, and site teams
Complete service reports and job sheets accurately
Support other engineers on larger or more complex works when required

Requirements
Proven HIU servicing and fault-finding experience
Strong plant room and district heating knowledge
Experience working in high-rise residential or commercial buildings
Professional and client-facing approach
Ability to work independently and within a team
Full UK driving licence for van-based role or willingness to work foot-mobile
