Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary/Benefits: £26k – £42k + Training & Benefits
Due to recent company growth, a UKAS accredited outfit is seeking a qualified Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to cover a mix of commercial and domestic premises. Our client is a privately-owned outfit, with an excellent track record and reputation. It is essential for applicants to have proven industry experience and full surveying / analytical qualifications (either BOHS or RSPH). Ideally, applicants will be flexible to travel across the South East and will have good access to major routes. Salaries on offer are excellent and benefits include: company vehicle, overtime and pension scheme.
Locations of work include: Basildon, Wickford, Billericay, Chelmsford, Witham, Maldon, Rochford, Southend-on-Sea, Canvey Island, South Benfleet, Braintree, Grays, Tilbury, Romford, Hornchurch, Barking, Ilford, Chigwell, Epping, Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford, Enfield, Cheshunt, Erith, Dartford, Gravesend, Sidcup, Orpington, Bromley, Chatham, Snodland.
Experience / Qualifications:
* Must hold the BOHS P402, P403 and P404 (or RSPH equivalent)
* Strong hands-on experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
* Will have experience working within UKAS, HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines
* Experience working across a variety of premises
* Good literacy and numeracy skill level
* Comfortable using IT software
The Role:
* Undertaking management, demolition and refurbishment asbestos surveys across commercial and domestic premises
* Conducting re-inspection asbestos surveys
* Carrying out 4 stage clearances, in addition to leak, background, smoke, reassurance and personal air testing
* Producing highly detailed technical reports with schematic drawings
* Monitoring the safety and compliance adherance across asbestos removal projects
* Collecting ACM samples from site
* Wearing correct PPE whilst on site
* Providing detailed technical advice to clients
