We are currently working with a rapidly growing contractor delivering projects across the social infrastructure sector. Due to continued expansion and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their team based in Swanley.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business delivering refurbishment, retrofit, and maintenance projects within the social housing sector.

The Role
As Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive tenders, supporting the business in securing new projects and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:

Analysing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates
Producing detailed cost build-ups and tender submissions within strict deadlines
Collaborating with commercial, operational, and technical teams to ensure submissions are commercially robust
Identifying risks and value engineering opportunities within tenders
Monitoring market rates, material costs, and labour pricing
Supporting the handover process from pre-construction to delivery teams
Building and maintaining relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
About You

Minimum 5 years’ experience within the construction industry
Strong background in social housing refurbishment / planned works
Knowledge of JCT and ACA forms of contract
Ability to carry out take-offs from drawings and prepare Bills of Quantities
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
Confident working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or similar (desirable)
