About the Company

My client is an established principal contractor with over 20 years’ experience, specialising in cladding remediation and façade regeneration projects. They deliver high-quality, fully compliant, multi-million-pound contracts across London and the wider South East.

The Role

The Assistant Site Manager will report to the Site Manager and play a key role in the safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of works on site. This position involves working closely with commercial, technical, health & safety, ISO and project management teams to ensure projects are delivered to programme and budget.

You will take responsibility for managing designated work packages, ensuring productivity targets, quality standards and deadlines are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Support the supervision and coordination of site activities to meet agreed programmes, budgets and productivity targets.

Assist in planning and monitoring progress, ensuring clear communication of requirements to site teams.

*

Coordinate labour, materials and plant to ensure efficient and cost-effective site operations.

*

Liaise with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Buying team to ensure procurement is placed in line with programme requirements.

*

Monitor labour and material usage, maintaining accurate documentation and cost awareness.

*

Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date site records in line with legislative and company requirements.

*

Ensure quality standards and contractual specifications are clearly communicated and adhered to on site.

Work alongside the Health & Safety team to implement the Construction Phase Plan, including RAMS and COSHH compliance.

*

Support the management of subcontractors, addressing performance issues where necessary.

*

Collaborate with Resident Liaison and Customer Service teams to resolve resident queries and concerns effectively.

*

Attend regular site and management meetings as required.

*

Keep up to date with industry regulations, H&S legislation and internal processes.

Skills & Experience

*

ONC or equivalent qualification/experience in a construction-related discipline.

*

Experience within cladding or façade projects (essential).

*

NVQ in Construction (completed or working towards).

*

Valid CSCS Card (essential).

*

QCQA (essential).

*

SSSTS/SSTS (advantageous).

*

Experience with External Wall Insulation (EWI) desirable.

*

Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

*

Strong organisational and documentation skills.

*

Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (beneficial)
