We are seeking a driven and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team based in Warrington, Cheshire with travel to project sites across the region. This is a full-time, permanent role where you’ll play a key part in cost management and commercial delivery on residential construction projects.

About the Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, your main focus will be to:

Manage all cost-related aspects of allocated projects from procurement through to final account settlement.

Minimise project costs while maintaining high standards of quality and value for money.

Administer contracts, process monthly applications, and reconcile final accounts.

Support commercial decision-making by preparing cost analysis, tender documentation, and budget reports.

Attend design and development meetings to advise on cost implications and contractual matters.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including land, development, and construction to drive commercial performance and support commercial strategy.

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in candidates who demonstrate:

A recognised qualification such as an HNC in Surveying or Construction (or equivalent).

Experience within the construction industry, ideally in residential housing or similar sectors.

Strong analytical, numerical and IT skills.

Excellent communication, negotiation and networking abilities.

Business-focused mindset with a good understanding of budget management and commercial risk.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a collaborative team.

Desirable: Professional membership or working towards membership (e.g., MCIOB or RICS), experience with different construction methods such as timber frame, and prior national house builder experience.
