Job Overview

An Architect job in Winchester is available within the commercial studio of an established architectural practice. This Architect job in Winchester is suited to a Part 3 qualified Architect with at least 2 years’ post Part III experience seeking professional progression.

Based in Winchester, the role focuses on design-led projects across multi-unit residential, education and later living sectors. There is a particular emphasis on high-quality bespoke residential schemes.

The successful Architect will work closely with the Head of Commercial Architecture during early RIBA Stages, supporting concept design, planning applications and detailed design development. This Architect job in Winchester offers exposure to contemporary projects delivered with strong technical rigour and design quality across all RIBA Stages.

Role & Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of multi-unit residential, education and later living projects
• Work closely with the Head of Commercial Architecture during RIBA Stages 0–3
• Contribute to concept design, feasibility studies and planning submissions
• Assist in the preparation of detailed design and production information packages
• Run selected project elements through later RIBA Stages where required
• Coordinate with internal architectural teams to maintain design consistency
• Support consultant coordination across multidisciplinary teams
• Engage with clients, planning authorities and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and planning policy

Skills & Experience Required

• Part 3 qualified Architect (ARB registered)
• Minimum 2 years’ post Part III UK project experience
• Experience within residential, education or later living sectors
• Strong design-led portfolio with attention to detail
• Good understanding of UK planning processes and Building Regulations
• Experience working across multiple RIBA Stages
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD (beneficial)
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Right to work in the UK
