Pertemps are currently recruiting for experienced Asbestos Surveyor’s to join a leading environmental business in Southampton. This is a full time, permanent position and the successful candidates will be provided with a company van as well.

Responsibilities:

Building inspections. To include, management and refurbishment/demolition Asbestos surveys

Liaise with tenants and client representatives in a professional manner

Sampling in accordance with HSG264 and in-house technical procedures

Record data accurately on company database, via a tablet device

Accurately record sample information onto sample bags and sample labels

Produce accurate electronic site plans, where necessary and accurately record all sample locations and material extent onto final plans

Check plans against data on tablet and sample bags, prior to submission

Ensure all samples taken are submitted to the laboratory for analysis, within the client specified time frame

Quality Assurance checks of report accuracy

Requirements:

Previous experience within Asbestos Surveying

Understanding of the building trade and construction industry

Full UK Driving licence

Self sufficient

Our client will provide full in-house training and audits before the successful candidate will attend their own surveys. This role will include working on a variety of sites across the South of the UK. No two days are the same as each working day will allow you to gain a diverse range of skills within the industry

The Asbestos Surveyor Role:

£30,000 – £40,000 depending on experience

Monthly bonus scheme

Six monthly performance bonus

21 days annual leave (rising to 29 with length of service)
