Overview

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager based in Wales with a strong background in fire remediation, multi-storey residential/commercial projects, and general building works. This is a hands-on, senior role offering the chance to lead design coordination, manage multidisciplinary teams, and oversee the delivery of complex construction projects.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, technically competent, and confident liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design management process for fire remediation, multi-storey, and general building projects.

Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure design intent is met.

Manage project documentation, approvals, and compliance with building regulations and fire safety standards.

Oversee technical design reviews, risk assessments, and quality assurance processes.

Provide guidance and support to project teams, ensuring clarity of scope and responsibilities.

*

Attend site meetings and design workshops to resolve technical challenges.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Design Manager on fire remediation, multi-storey, and general building projects.

*

Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, fire safety legislation, and construction standards.

Excellent project coordination and stakeholder management skills.

Proficient in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and Microsoft Office.

*

Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.

*

Based in Wales or willing to relocate.
