Part-Time Health & Safety Consultant
Our client is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Consultant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a competent, construction-focused professional who wants to work with a forward-thinking consultancy delivering practical, commercially aware health and safety support across a diverse client base.
This is a self-employed part-time role for 2-3 days per week, paying to £350 per day + travel contribution. You will be travelling to client sites across South East England (London / Home Counties / South Coast).
About the role
As a Health & Safety Consultant, you will support clients across London, the Home Counties and the South Coast, delivering hands-on safety leadership and compliance support. This role requires a commitment of two days or three days per week on a self-employed basis.
Key responsibilities:
Carrying out site safety inspections and audits
Attending and contributing to safety meetings
Developing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
Preparing Construction Phase Plans
Conducting accident and incident investigations
Providing clear, practical health and safety advice to clients
Supporting clients with ongoing compliance and best practice
Essential experience
Proven experience within the construction sector
NEBOSH General Certificate
NEBOSH Construction Certificate
Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region
