Electrical Qualified Supervisor
Electrical Qualifying Supervisor – NICEIC
Central London | Full-time | Site-based
£55,000 – £60,000 + Travel
If you are tired of signing paperwork you did not truly control, this is your chance to set the standard.
You know the difference between ticking boxes and protecting a business. You understand that NICEIC registration carries responsibility, not just a logo on a van. You want a role where your judgement matters and where installations are signed off because they are right, not because a deadline is looming.
We are supporting a multi-disciplinary building services contractor delivering mechanical and electrical packages across residential, mixed-use and education schemes throughout Central London. Projects typically range up to £15m, delivered within a structured design and build environment where technical quality and coordinated services integration are taken seriously.
All schemes are London based and accessed by train and tube. Your time on site is purposeful, aligned with inspection stages and readiness for review.
You will be the company’s NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor across live projects.
You will set the bar.
This is hands-on technical assurance within active construction environments. You will review installations at the correct stages, oversee inspection and testing, and sign certificates only when the work meets the required standard under BS 7671 and NICEIC scheme rules.
What you’ll do
* Act as the designated NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor for the business, carrying technical responsibility across live projects.
* Review installations at appropriate stages prior to certification, ensuring compliance before sign-off.
* Oversee inspection and testing procedures so they are carried out correctly, recorded properly and evidenced clearly.
* Verify and sign Electrical Installation Certificates, Minor Works Certificates and associated documentation with confidence.
* Identify non-compliances early and ensure corrective action is implemented before certification.
* Maintain readiness for NICEIC assessment, including documentation control, calibration oversight and evidence of compliance.
* Support project teams with practical interpretation of BS 7671 within live build environments.
What you’ll need
* At least 3 years operating as a Qualifying Supervisor or in a senior inspection and testing capacity.
* City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent NVQ Level 3.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
* City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent Inspection and Testing qualification.
* Previous NICEIC Qualified Supervisor status preferred.
* Experience delivering residential or education projects within construction environments.
* A methodical, disciplined approach to compliance and documentation, combined with the confidence to challenge on site when required.
This role suits an experienced electrical professional who understands both the regulatory framework and the practical realities of construction, and who is comfortable carrying the weight that NICEIC sign-off demands.
If you want to be the person who protects standards rather than inherits problems, this is worth a conversation
