Site Engineer

Contract Type: 16-month fixed term
Working Hours: 07:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
Rate: £(Apply online only)/day Umbrella rate, dependent on experience

Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Site Engineer to join a dynamic project team on a 16-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out, producing as-built drawings, quality assurance, reviewing design drawings, and supervising site works to ensure compliance with design and quality assurance processes. This role requires strong attention to detail and experience in highways and structural engineering. The Site Engineer will work closely with the project team to ensure that all site activities are delivered safely, on time, and to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities
Perform setting out and produce accurate as-built documentation
Review and interpret design drawings and specifications
Supervise site works to ensure compliance with design and QA processes
Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures on site
Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
Monitor progress and report on site activities
Ensure temporary works are supervised and compliant (where applicable)
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to site activities

CSCS card (essential)
Setting Out qualification (essential)
SSSTS (desirable)
Temporary Works Supervisor qualification (desirable)
Strong attention to detail
Experience in highways engineering
Experience in structural engineering
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Good communication and supervisory skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
