Electrical Estimator – Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 per annum (DOE)
Employment Type: Full‑time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday (typically 8:30 am – 5:30 pm)
Annual Leave: 20 days plus 8 bank holidays

Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a well‑established electrical contracting business based in Doncaster. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing competitive and accurate cost estimates for a range of electrical projects across commercial, industrial, and domestic sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical works.

Analyse technical drawings, specifications, and project scopes to assess requirements.

Seek best value while maintaining high quality and profitability.

*

Collaborate with pre‑construction, design teams, and stakeholders to support project planning.

*

Attend site visits as required to assess works and refine estimates.

*

Plan and prioritise work to meet tender deadlines and exceed client expectations.

Skills & Experience Required

Electrical industry experience is essential, with a strong understanding of installations and components.

*

Proven track record in preparing estimates within an estimating or commercial role.

*

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.

*

Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

*

Organised, proactive attitude and ability to work independently or within a team.
