Sheq Advisor

An established and growing fire protection engineering specialist is seeking an experienced SHEQ Advisor to support operations across multiple sites in the the Midlands around Birminham, Derby, Northampton and Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a technically driven business delivering complex fire suppression and protection projects across industrial and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Provide competent advice and guidance on all SHEQ matters

*

Ensure compliance with UK health & safety legislation and industry standards

*

Support the development and implementation of SHEQ policies and procedures

*

Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments

*

Investigate incidents, near misses and non-conformances, producing detailed reports and corrective actions

*

Lead toolbox talks and internal training sessions

*

Maintain ISO management systems (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)

*

Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors

*

Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business

About You

*

NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) – desired

*

Proven experience in a SHEQ / HSE role within construction, engineering, or fire protection

*

Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation

*

Experience with Working at Heights

*

Proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach
