Senior Mechanical Project Manager

Location: Sleaford, Lincolnshire (Office-based with travel as required)
Salary: £45,000 – £65,000 DOE + Car Allowance / Benefits

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead the structured delivery of commercial mechanical projects from initiation through to completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

Lead full project lifecycle delivery from initiation through to final handover.

*

Assess feasibility, define budgets, allocate resources, and develop labour and procurement programmes.

*

Work closely with the Commercial Director on contractual and commercial matters.

*

Develop and manage detailed project schedules, including Gantt charts and progress tracking.

*

Promote high standards of health & safety, conducting site inspections and ensuring RAMS compliance.

*

Lead, motivate and coordinate project teams, site managers and foremen.

*

Manage subcontractor procurement, interim applications, progress and variations.

*

Coordinate with in-house design teams to ensure drawings, registers and technical submissions are accurate.

*

Monitor project risk using look-aheads, site reports and monthly reviews.

*

Control programme performance and financial delivery.

*

Provide clear and consistent reporting to senior management and clients.

*

Conduct project close-out reviews to support continuous improvement.

The Ideal Candidate

*

Proven experience delivering mechanical packages on commercial projects.

*

Strong understanding of structured project management methodologies (PMI knowledge desirable).

*

Commercially astute with strong budgeting, planning and risk management skills.

*

Experience leading site teams and managing subcontractors.

*

Confident handling technical documentation and coordinating design teams.

*

Strong communication, organisational and client-facing skills.

*

Willingness to travel as required.
