Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Assistant Quantity Surveyor | Salary: Up to £37k (DOE) + Company Car / Allowance + Excellent Benefits | Location: Leeds

We have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction and off-site solutions business based near Morley. This role will support the commercial team in the successful delivery of modular construction projects across a range of sectors.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant QS looking to further develop their commercial career within a structured and supportive environment, gaining exposure across the full project lifecycle.

The role:

• Support the commercial management of multiple construction projects

• Assist with subcontractor procurement, including issuing tender packages and analysing submissions

• Contribute to the preparation of scopes of works and subcontract orders

• Assist with subcontractor payments, including compilation and issue of payment notices

• Support the administration and execution of subcontract agreements and appointments

• Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation in line with company policy

• Assist with cost tracking, reporting and general commercial controls

• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure effective communication

• Support commercial best practice and contribute to continuous process improvement

Candidate requirements:

• Experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor role within construction

• Exposure to subcontract procurement, valuations and payment processes

• Understanding of contract administration within a construction environment

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (or similar) desirable, or equivalent industry experience

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail

• Confident communication skills and the ability to work within a project-driven environment

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
