Registered Building Inspector – Class 2D

Our client, a prominent London borough, is currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector – Class 2D to join their team on a contract basis. This role primarily involves overseeing building control within the buildings sector, demonstrating expertise in compliance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting six inspections per day over four days a week
Ensuring that building projects comply with current regulations and standards
Completing comprehensive reports on inspection findings
Providing guidance on necessary corrective actions
Collaborating with contractors, architects, and engineers to resolve compliance issues
Managing and recording documentation related to inspections and approvals
Working from home one day per week to handle administrative tasks

Job Requirements:

Experience in building control within the buildings sector
Registration as a Building Inspector (Class 2D) is essential
Thorough understanding of building regulations and compliance standards
Ability to conduct detailed and accurate inspections
Strong analytical and report-writing skills
Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
