Overview

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Manager. The successful candidate will be conveniently located to Wickford, able to work independently to a high standard, and capable of meeting strict deadlines.

This role is suited to a motivated and proactive construction professional with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in managing multiple contracts from pre-construction through to completion.

Key Skills & Qualifications

*

Proven experience in contracts management within the construction industry

*

Experience in masonry or natural stone (preferred but not essential)

*

Strong analytical, organisational and people management skills

*

Proactive, enthusiastic and results-driven approach

*

High level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills

*

Ability to multitask and manage workload effectively

*

Proficient in MS Office and MS Project

*

CIOB accredited, postgraduate qualification or equivalent (preferred)

*

Valid CSCS card or SMSTS certification

*

Full UK Driving Licence (required)

Key Responsibilities

*

Oversee and manage multiple contracts from pre-contract stage to final completion

*

Deliver projects safely, on time and within budget

*

Interpret and administer construction contracts

*

Develop and maintain strong client and partner relationships

*

Manage and support staff performance, delegation and development

*

Identify and implement improvements to systems and processes

*

Coordinate inter-departmental liaison, planning and resource allocation

*

Negotiate and place subcontract and material orders

*

Monitor contract costs and budgets, providing regular reporting

*

Prepare and submit valuations and final accounts

Requirements

*

Minimum 4 years’ experience in construction management (preferred)

*

Right to work in the United Kingdom

*

Ability to reliably commute to Wickford or relocate prior to starting
