Mechanical Engineer

We are working with an established and expanding mechanical contractor here in London who are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team.

Operating across large-scale developments throughout London, our client has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical building services installations. Due to continued growth and a strong secured pipeline, they are now looking to appoint a commercially aware and technically strong engineer to play a key role in project delivery.

The Role

This position will involve taking ownership of mechanical packages from pre-construction through to completion. You will work closely with Project Managers, commercial teams, consultants, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing mechanical packages on residential developments

* Overseeing design coordination and technical submissions

* Reviewing and managing subcontractor performance

* Procurement of plant and materials

* Attending and leading site and client meetings

* Programme management and tracking progress

* Managing QA processes and ensuring compliance with H&S standards

* Supporting commercial teams with variations and cost control

Requirements

* Proven experience delivering mechanical packages on residential or mixed-use developments

* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services systems

* Ability to manage projects from pre-construction through to handover

* Good commercial awareness and understanding of cost control

* Strong communication and leadership skills

* Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
