Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate design across major technical, structural and MEP packages
Oversee the design process from pre‑construction through delivery
Work closely with architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants and specialist suppliers
Manage design information flow and ensure accuracy, compliance and buildability
Drive value engineering, risk management and design reviews
Support tender, pre‑construction and live‑site technical resolution
Run design workshops, consultant meetings and coordination sessions
Ideal Candidate Experience
Proven track record as a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager
Experience across complex, high‑value new‑build schemes (£50m-£200m)
Strong technical background in structural, envelope and MEP coordination
Ability to manage multiple design packages and consultant teams
Comfortable working within regulated or secure project environments
Strong coordination, communication and problem‑solving abilities
