Overview
We are working with an established mechanical contractor delivering commercial plumbing installations across office buildings and commercial premises nationwide. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Plumbing Supervisor based in the Midlands to oversee projects across multiple UK locations.
While the role is Midlands-based, projects are delivered nationally, with a high volume of work currently in Cambridge, Telford, London and Nottingham. Staying away from home will be required depending on project location.
This is a hands-on supervisory position offering paid door-to-door travel and consistent working hours.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervising plumbing installations on commercial office and workplace fit-out projects
* Managing site teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and to programme
* Coordinating with project managers and other trades on site
* Ensuring all installations meet current regulations and quality standards
* Conducting site inspections and maintaining health & safety compliance
* Monitoring productivity and reporting progress to senior management
* Assisting with problem-solving and technical queries on site
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Plumbing Supervisor within commercial environments
* Strong background working on office blocks and commercial premises
* SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred)
* Full UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away when required
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
* CSCS Card
* SSSTS / SMSTS (desirable)
* First Aid (desirable)
