Contracts Manager – Fire Doors / Passive Fire Protection
Location: Kent (2 days office) + London & South of England sites (3 days)
Salary: Up to £60,000 + package DOE
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm

A growing passive fire protection contractor is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee fire door installation and remediation projects across London and the South of England.

This role will involve managing multiple live contracts, supporting site teams and ensuring works are delivered safely, compliantly and to the required standard. The position is split between the Kent office (2 days per week) and visiting sites (3 days per week).

The successful candidate will come from a fire door installation background and will ideally have personally installed fire doors earlier in their career. You should be comfortable providing technical guidance to installers and, where necessary, assisting hands-on on site.

Key Responsibilities
• Managing multiple fire door installation and remediation projects
• Overseeing site teams, supervisors and specialist installers
• Carrying out site inspections and quality checks
• Ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and standards
• Monitoring programme, quality and site performance
• Liaising with clients, contractors and consultants
• Ensuring certification, documentation and compliance records are completed
• Maintaining strong health and safety standards across all projects

Requirements
• Experience working for a passive fire protection contractor
• Strong knowledge of fire door installation and compliance
• Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager or Site Manager
• Hands-on fire door installation experience earlier in career
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable
• FIRAS or BM Trada knowledge
• SMSTS, SSSTS or CSCS
• Awareness of Building Safety Act and Golden Thread requirements
