BIM Prefabrication Manager
BIM Prefabrication Manager Opportunity – London Based – Commercial/Data Centre
A leading Tier 1 MEP Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex building services projects across the UK is seeking an experienced BIM Prefabrication Manager to join their London team.
This role is based in the London office and reports directly to the Prefabrication Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the production of manufacturing drawings for offsite prefabricated assets, supporting modern methods of construction and driving efficiency through BIM-led workflows.
The Role:
As BIM Prefabrication Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the detailing and coordination of prefabricated mechanical assets, ensuring designs are suitable for offsite manufacture and site installation.
You will lead the delivery of detailed manufacturing models and drawings for prefabricated building services components including:
Working as a senior member of the BIM and prefabrication team, you will act as a technical lead and ambassador for the company’s values: integrity, dependability, safety, pride and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the production of high-quality prefabrication manufacturing drawings and models
* Develop and manage BIM workflows for offsite prefabrication
* Ensure designs meet spooling and fabrication requirements
* Coordinate closely with design teams, project teams and manufacturing facilities
* Review and optimise models for efficient offsite assembly and installation
* Maintain high standards of quality, safety and technical compliance
* Mentor and support junior BIM and detailing staff where required
Requirements:
* Degree or Trade Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, HVAC or a related discipline
* 8–10 years’ experience in a similar BIM / prefabrication / detailing role within building services
* Detailed knowledge of piping design and spooling requirements
* Strong understanding of MEP prefabrication processes
* Advanced knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit and Fabrication MEP
* Experience producing manufacturing drawings for offsite assets
* Strong coordination and communication skills
