Location: East Midlands (projects across the region)

PSR Solutions are working in partnership with a well-established and growing Mechanical & Electrical contractor to recruit an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their delivery team.

Our client is a reputable regional SME with a strong track record of delivering mechanical and electrical building services projects typically valued between £1m and £5m. They operate across a variety of sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, industrial and public sector developments throughout the East Midlands.

Due to a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Manager who can take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to successful handover.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and delivery of mechanical building services packages on a range of projects across the East Midlands. You will work closely with internal commercial and design teams, as well as main contractors and subcontractors on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-run regional contractor where you will play a key role in project delivery and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Manage mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to completion

Oversee programme delivery, project performance and installation progress

Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors and suppliers

Attend and lead project meetings with main contractors and clients

Ensure health & safety compliance across projects

Work closely with the commercial team on procurement, cost control and variations

Monitor project budgets and programme milestones

Support commissioning activities and final project handover

Requirements

Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the building services sector

Experience delivering projects typically valued £1m – £5m

Strong technical understanding of mechanical building services installations (HVAC, pipework etc.)

Ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively

Good commercial awareness and programme management skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services

SMSTS / SSSTS certification

Experience working for an M&E Contractor (not FM)
