We are seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to lead their HSE function, providing strategic and operational support for complex utility and construction delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Strategy, Compliance & Culture
HSE Strategy: Develop and continuously improve the company’s Safety Management System (SMS). Establish a clear safety vision and move toward attaining an accredited ISO Management System.
Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments for construction and operational activities, working alongside department heads to implement robust RAMS.
Operational Delivery: Lead site inspections and audits across nationwide projects to ensure total compliance with UK legislation and industry best practices.
Incident & Emergency Response: Lead investigations into accidents and near-misses, ensuring timely closure and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Environmental Leadership: Develop environmental policies to ensure the business meets its ambitious sustainability objectives.
Team Leadership: Manage and develop a dedicated HSE team to ensure the delivery of safety controls and reporting objectives.The Package
Base Salary: £60,000 (DOE).
Bonus: Discretionary individual and business performance bonus.

Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of complex construction and/or utility infrastructure projects is essential.
Qualifications: Minimum of a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent).
Experience: At least 5 years of experience within a construction or utility environment.
Leadership: Proven experience in managing a team and the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, contractors, and specialist suppliers.
