A well-established and growing multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer to join their busy Cambridge office.

This role will involve delivering professional civil engineering services across a variety of projects, supporting both internal teams and external clients. The position offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of sectors and project types, including building drainage and civil infrastructure works.

The successful candidate will play an important role in the delivery of technically sound and commercially successful projects, working as part of a collaborative and experienced engineering team.

Due to the nature of some projects, security clearance may be required.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Support the commercial and technical delivery of civil engineering projects within a team environment
• Assist in promoting the company’s civil engineering services
• Design practical civil engineering solutions and interpret client requirements in an efficient and cost-effective manner
• Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues
• Ensure project tasks are completed to a high standard, within agreed timescales and budgets
• Deliver work in a professional manner to ensure client satisfaction
• Support the team in achieving financial and project performance targets
• Assist with maintaining internal project management and fee tracking systems
• Contribute to fee proposals and tender submissions when required

Requirements

• Post qualification experience across civil engineering project delivery
• Good understanding of working with both public and private sector clients
• Strong knowledge of building construction, Building Regulations and relevant legislation
• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Chartered Engineer status or currently working towards chartership
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
