A well-established and growing multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking an Architectural Technologist to join its Nottingham office.
This role will involve providing technical design services and supporting project delivery across a wide range of sectors. The successful candidate will be involved in the preparation of technical drawings, planning and building regulation submissions, tender documentation and project coordination from concept through to construction.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
• Work with clients to understand project requirements and develop project briefs
• Prepare feasibility reports considering statutory requirements and client objectives
• Prepare planning applications, building regulations submissions and listed building applications
• Produce detailed design drawings including working drawings and technical plans
• Prepare documentation for competitive tender processes
• Support tendering activities including post-tender analysis and tender reporting
• Assist with value engineering exercises where required
• Ensure awareness of project scope and identify opportunities for additional services where appropriate
• Take ownership of technical delivery across projects under their control
• Manage day-to-day project progress and coordinate assigned project resources
• Support development of designs from concept through to detailed design stage
• Liaise with internal and external consultants to ensure coordinated design documentation
• Liaise with subcontractors, specialist suppliers and contractors as required
• Carry out measured building surveys
• Support project delivery during the construction stage
• Attend site meetings and coordinate technical queries
• Prepare technical specifications using NBS with minimal supervision
• Support projects delivered by other teams or offices when required
• Provide technical input into sustainability requirements including BREEAM, SBEM and EPC assessments
• Support the day-to-day running of projects under the supervision of senior team members
• Promote collaborative working across multidisciplinary teams
• Identify and manage project risks including financial, operational and health and safety considerations
Requirements
• Degree in Architectural Technology
• MCIAT membership or working towards professional accreditation
• Experience using AutoCAD
• Experience using Revit
• Strong technical design and coordination skills
• Good communication and organisational abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
• Experience working within defence or secure sector projects desirable but not essential.
