Building Technician – Emergency Lighting
We are recruiting on behalf of a company providing high-quality construction, refurbishment, building maintenance, and facilities management services across the south of England.
They are looking for an enthusiastic Emergency Lighting Maintainer to join their team. This is a permanent role, ideal for someone seeking to develop their career and gain hands-on experience in a supportive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPMs) on communal emergency lighting systems across various properties, including social housing, schools, public conveniences, offices, and heritage sites.
* Conduct monthly emergency lighting flick tests and annual drain down tests.
* Perform minor repairs to emergency lighting systems.
* Ensure high-quality workmanship while following health & safety regulations and company procedures.
* Maintain a professional approach when interacting with customers, client representatives, and team members.
Qualifications & Experience
* 2–5 years’ experience in social housing or building maintenance.
* Previous experience in emergency lighting maintenance is essential.
