Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Inverness & Highlands (Field-Based)

A leading UK provider of specialist equipment hire solutions is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across Inverness and the wider Highlands region.

This is a field-based role focused on developing new business within the construction, civil engineering, infrastructure and industrial sectors. The position will suit a driven sales professional with a strong background in tool hire, plant hire or construction-related sales who understands the pace and demands of the industry.

You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building long-term client relationships and growing revenue within a well-established territory.

Key Responsibilities

* Proactively generate new business opportunities across the Highlands region

* Develop and manage relationships with contractors, housebuilders, infrastructure firms and industrial clients

* Promote a wide range of hire solutions including tools, plant and specialist site equipment

* Conduct site visits, client meetings and product demonstrations

* Work closely with depot and operations teams to ensure exceptional service delivery

* Manage your sales pipeline, forecasts and activity through the CRM system

* Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and revenue goals

* Monitor market activity and competitor presence within the region

Requirements

* Proven experience in business development or sales within tool hire, plant hire or construction-related products/services

* Strong network within construction, civils, infrastructure or contractor markets

* Track record of winning new business and growing accounts

* Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills

* Self-motivated and comfortable working in a field-based role

* Full UK driving licence
