EHS Advisor
Overview
An international contractor delivering large-scale data centre and infrastructure projects is seeking a EHS Advisor to join a major data centre construction project in Austria. This role will suit someone early in their health & safety career who is looking to gain hands-on experience on a large, technically complex project.
Working under the guidance of the EHS Manager, the successful candidate will support the implementation of environmental, health, and safety procedures across the site while helping to maintain a strong safety culture among project teams and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the EHS Manager in implementing site health, safety, and environmental procedures
* Conduct regular site safety inspections and observations
* Assist with reviewing and monitoring Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
* Help ensure site activities comply with project safety standards and local regulations
* Assist with incident, accident, and near miss reporting and investigations
* Support the delivery of site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
* Monitor subcontractor compliance with site safety requirements
* Maintain and update EHS documentation, records, and reports
Requirements
* Minimum 1 year’s experience working on civil engineering or construction projects
* Interest in developing a career in Environmental, Health & Safety within construction
* EU Passport – essential due to project location
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Proactive approach with the ability to work as part of a team
* Willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced project environment
Desirable
* Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent
* Experience working on large construction or infrastructure projects
* Previous exposure to data centre projects
