Site Engineer – East London

PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Freelance Setting Out Engineer on behalf of a specialist civil engineering contractor for a project based in East London.

Our client is a well-established contractor delivering infrastructure and civil engineering works across Essex.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out and checking levels for a concrete slab installation, ensuring excavation depths, formation levels and final concrete levels are accurate ahead of and during the pour.

Key Responsibilities

Setting out works using total station or similar equipment.

Checking dig depth and formation levels for the slab area.

Verifying slab extents and shuttering positions.

Ensuring concrete levels are correct during the pour.

Interpreting rebar layouts and bending schedules to support the site team.

Working closely with steel fixers, shuttering carpenters and the wider site team to ensure works are delivered to specification.
Requirements

Ability to interpret technical drawings, reinforcement layouts and bending schedules.

Own setting out equipment (total station / surveying kit) preferred.

Valid CSCS card.

Experience working on concrete slabs, groundwork or structural elements.
