Regional Commercial Manager – Building Services (MEP)

£70,000 – £110,000 + Car Allowance & Full Package

A well-established, medium-sized MEP contractor is seeking a Regional Commercial Manager to take commercial responsibility for its Yorkshire and North East region, delivering circa £25m annual turnover.

This is a key leadership role within a growing regional business unit. The position would suit either:

An experienced Commercial Manager with a proven track record in large-scale building services projects, or

*

A high-calibre Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to step into a broader commercial leadership role.

The Role

You will hold full commercial oversight across multiple MEP projects, typically within large-scale commercial, healthcare, education, industrial or mixed-use developments.

Key responsibilities include:

*

Regional commercial leadership across live projects and pre-construction support

*

Managing and mentoring Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff

*

Overseeing cost planning, procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts

*

Managing risk, contract compliance and commercial reporting

*

Driving margin improvement and cost control across the region

*

Working closely with Regional Directors and operational teams

*

Client-facing commercial management and strategic input

Requirements

*

Strong MEP / Building Services background (essential)

*

Experience delivering large-scale mechanical and electrical projects

*

Proven commercial management of multi-project regional portfolios

*

Strong contractual knowledge (JCT / NEC)

*

Experience managing and developing commercial teams

*

Commercially astute, confident and able to operate at senior level

This role requires someone who understands the complexity of building services packages and can manage commercial performance at both project and regional level.
