Mechanical Contracts Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join a dynamic business in Gloucester.
Applicants must have vast experience in all sectors of the construction industry including Commercial, Residential and Retail.
About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Project / Contract Manager (Mechanical HVAC) to oversee the successful delivery of mechanical building services projects from contract award through to completion and handover.
The role involves managing design coordination, procurement, programme delivery, cost control, health & safety, and commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage mechanical HVAC projects from contract award to final completion.
Review tender documentation, specifications, and drawings to fully understand project scope.
Coordinate design development, technical submittals, and approvals.
Lead the procurement of plant, materials, and subcontractors.
Manage project programmes, progress reporting, and site coordination.
Monitor project costs, variations, and financial performance.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and site procedures.
Oversee commissioning, testing, and system demonstrations.
Manage snagging, O&M manuals, and project handover documentation.
Requirements :
Proven experience managing mechanical HVAC or building services projects.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction project delivery.
Experience with design & build projects and subcontractor management.
Good knowledge of programme management, procurement, and cost control.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
