An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an award-winning groundworks and civil engineering contractor with over 50 years of industry success and strong relationships with leading housebuilders.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established business known for delivering high-quality residential infrastructure and groundworks projects across the South East.
With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth, the company is now looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of multiple groundworks and civil engineering schemes.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of groundworks and civil engineering projects from procurement through to final account.
Responsibilities will include:
• Commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account
• Subcontractor procurement and package management
• Managing variations, valuations and cost reporting
• Monitoring project budgets and ensuring commercial performance
• Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members
• Working closely with site teams, project managers and commercial leadership
• Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and clients
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong commercial control across all developments.

About You

Requirements
• Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor within construction
• Experience within groundworks, civil engineering or residential infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement and package management
• Experience managing variations, valuations and commercial reporting
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong commercial awareness and cost management ability
