Mechanical Construction Manager

Freelance Mechanical Construction Manager – Central London – £400 – £450 per day – 9 Month Contract

Skilled Careers are currently working with an established and highly respected M&E contractor who are looking for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join their team on a freelance basis for an initial 9-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a prestigious mixed-use development project in Central London, delivering high-quality mechanical installations on a flagship scheme.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the mechanical installation on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all mechanical installation activities on site

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site teams

Ensure works are delivered in accordance with programme and project milestones

Maintain high standards of health & safety and site compliance

Liaise with the main contractor, consultants, and wider project team

Monitor quality control and ensure installations meet project specifications

Assist with commissioning and handover phases

Requirements:

Proven experience working as a Mechanical Construction Manager on large M&E or mixed-use developments

Strong background managing mechanical installations on complex construction projects

Excellent knowledge of site health & safety procedures

Strong coordination and communication skills

Ability to drive programme and manage subcontractor performance

SMSTS, Black or Gold CSCS, and relevant mechanical qualifications (desirable)

Rate: £400 – £450 per day (depending on experience)
