Electrical Construction Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to oversee electrical installation works on a major commercial construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring the electrical works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Electrical Construction Manager Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all electrical construction activities on site.

*

Supervise electrical subcontractors and ensure work meets project specifications.

*

Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies.

*

Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

*

Plan and manage installation schedules in line with the overall project programme.

*

Coordinate with the project manager, MEP teams, and other trades.

*

Conduct site inspections and quality checks.

*

Manage procurement and delivery of electrical materials.

*

Attend site meetings and provide progress reports.

*

Resolve technical issues and ensure work is completed to required standards.

Electrical Construction Manager Requirements

*

Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager or Electrical Site Manager on commercial projects.

*

Strong knowledge of electrical installation within large-scale construction projects.

*

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

*

Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills.

*

Solid understanding of UK electrical and construction regulations.

*

Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).

*

SMSTS / SSSTS certification preferred.

*

ECS / CSCS card
