Freelance Site Manager – New Build Flats (Southampton)

We're seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to support a short‑term requirement on a new‑build residential flats project in Southampton. This role requires someone confident, proactive, and able to take control of a busy site from day one.

Role Responsibilities

Oversee day‑to‑day site operations and ensure works progress safely and to programme
Coordinate subcontractors and monitor on‑site activity
Carry out site inspections and maintain high quality standards
Ensure full compliance with health & safety procedures
Communicate effectively with the project team, trades, and stakeholders

Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Manager on new‑build residential or apartment schemes
Strong understanding of H&S and site management processes
SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (essential)
Ability to hit the ground running and manage a fast‑paced site confidently

Rate

Competitive day rate (paid weekly)
