CAD Technician

We are seeking a motivated CAD Technician to join our design team. This role is ideal for candidates with 2D CAD experience and for trainees looking to develop a career in technical drawing and BIM workflows. 3D or Revit experience is not required – open to trainee applicants.

Key responsibilities
– Produce and revise accurate 2D technical drawings and drafting documentation
– Translate sketches, site information and engineering details into CAD format
– Follow drawing standards and layer management procedures
– Support engineers and designers with drawing updates and revisions
– Prepare drawing packs for issue and coordinate document control
– Learn and adopt 3D modelling/BIM tools as required (training provided)

Skills and experience
– Basic proficiency with 2D CAD software – autoCAD users
– Strong attention to detail and good numeracy
– Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
– Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
– Willingness to learn new software and techniques (Revit/3D training available)
– Relevant technical qualification or demonstrable practical experience advantageous but not required
