A respected regional contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to take ownership of their commercial function across multiple live schemes. This senior role offers long‑term stability, genuine progression, and the opportunity to influence commercial strategy at a business‑wide level.
The Role
As Commercial Manager, you’ll oversee the commercial and contractual performance of a diverse portfolio of construction projects. Acting as the link between site teams and senior leadership, you’ll ensure robust financial control, risk management, and best‑practice commercial delivery throughout the business.
You will:
* Lead and develop the commercial function across several live construction projects
* Manage project finances including budgets, cost plans, valuations, CVRs, forecasts, and final accounts
* Oversee subcontract procurement, tender analysis, and contract negotiation
* Work closely with project teams to provide commercial guidance and resolve issues
* Monitor and manage risk to protect project and business‑level performance
* Produce accurate commercial reports and board‑level updates
* Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes and cost management
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager within the construction sector
* The ability to manage budgets and reporting across multiple projects
* Experience supporting projects from tender stage through to final account
* Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
