We're supporting a leading education trust as they continue to enhance and modernise their estate, and we're looking for a Senior Facilities Manager for temporary role.

As Senior Facilities Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering a total facilities management solution across the Trust's portfolio. You'll be responsible for both strategic oversight and hands‑on operational leadership, ensuring sites are safe, compliant, sustainable, and operating efficiently.
You'll work in partnership with senior leaders, Headteachers, and central services teams to ensure the estate supports high‑quality learning environments.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and developing the Estates & Facilities team, ensuring high performance and consistency across all sites.
Delivering proactive hard and soft FM services, with strong emphasis on statutory compliance, asset quality, and PPM.
Overseeing contractors, suppliers, and FM partners-ensuring value for money, quality, and strong performance management.
Managing budgets, procurement activity, and contract governance within Estates & Facilities.
Leading on Health & Safety across the estate, including audits, risk assessments and ensuring safe working practices
Acting as Project Manager for key capital and operational projects, working closely with senior stakeholders.
Building strong relationships with site leaders and encouraging a "you said, we did" customer‑focused service culture.
This is a senior leadership role with real autonomy-perfect for someone who enjoys balancing strategic planning with operational problem‑solving.We're looking for a confident, solutions‑focused FM leader with a background managing multi‑disciplinary FM teams within a complex or multi‑site environment. Strong understanding of compliance, asset management, and Health & Safety (NEBOSH/IOSH required). Experience in performance management, people leadership, and team development.
