Senior Site Agent

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Site Agent to oversee the delivery of civil engineering works across multiple water treatment sites, with a strong focus on dirty water infrastructure. This role will involve managing complex construction activities including reinforced concrete structures, pipelines, and associated civil works across a number of operational treatment facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives across several sites.

Key Responsibilities

– Lead and manage site operations across multiple water treatment work sites

– Oversee the construction and installation of reinforced concrete structures and pipes associated with dirty water treatment processes

– Ensure works comply with design specifications, quality standards, and health & safety regulations

– Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure efficient project delivery

– Manage site documentation including RAMS, ITPs, permits, and progress reports

– Monitor programme progress and proactively resolve site issues to maintain delivery timelines

– Liaise with project managers, design teams, and client representatives

– Manage quality control for RC structures, tanks, chambers, and pipeline installations

– Support commercial teams with site reporting, variations, and progress updates

Requirements

– Proven experience as a Senior Site Agent / Site Agent within water or wastewater infrastructure projects

– Strong experience working on dirty water treatment works

– Demonstrable experience with reinforced concrete structures and pipelines

– Experience managing multiple sites or phased treatment works simultaneously

– Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills

– Solid understanding of health & safety regulations within the UK construction sector

– Ability to coordinate works in live operational treatment environments

Desirable

– Experience working on water treatment upgrades, refurbishments, or new-build treatment facilities

– Knowledge of water industry standards and procedures

– SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification
