About you
You are a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys the pace and variety that comes with commercial fit out projects. Managing more than one scheme at a time feels normal to you and you are comfortable taking ownership of your packages and seeing projects through properly.
You like being trusted to get on with your job without layers of red tape slowing things down. Working closely with project managers, site teams and subcontractors is something you enjoy because you understand that good relationships are what keep projects moving.
You are looking for a role where your experience in commercial fit out is valued and where you can work on interesting schemes rather than the same type of project over and over again.
Your experience
You are already working as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor within construction.
Your background is within commercial fit out or interior refurbishment and you understand the commercial pressures that come with delivering projects on programme and within budget.
You are comfortable managing multiple projects at the same time and handling the full commercial process from subcontract procurement through to final account.
Experience with projects up to around £5m would be ideal, particularly within offices, commercial spaces or interior fit out environments.
What you will be doing with your experience
You will be commercially responsible for several commercial fit out projects at once, typically valued up to around £5.5m.
Your role will involve managing subcontract procurement, valuations, cost reporting and final accounts while working closely with the project delivery team.
You will be involved from early stage through to completion, keeping a close eye on project costs and making sure the commercial side of the job runs smoothly.
The work is varied and fast paced which suits someone who enjoys the challenge of managing multiple schemes rather than being tied to one long term project.
