Senior Quantity Surveyor
Our client, a well-established and growing construction specialist, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional with strong experience in civils, groundworks, or reinforced concrete to play a key role in delivering major construction projects.
You will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from tender stage through to final account, ensuring strong cost control, profitability, and effective client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the commercial performance of projects from procurement through to final account
Prepare and review cost plans, valuations, and variations
Lead subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and account management
Monitor project costs, cash flow, and forecasting
Provide commercial reporting to senior management
Manage risk and ensure contractual compliance
Support and mentor junior commercial staff where required
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams
Requirements
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civils, groundworks, or reinforced concrete
Strong understanding of commercial management within the construction sector
Experience managing subcontractor packages and project budgets
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract
Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure
