A well-established Developer is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a multi-phased residential development in Barnstaple, consisting of a mix of new build houses and apartments.
This is a long-term opportunity in North Devon for a Site Manager who enjoys running well-organised sites, building strong relationships with subcontractors, and delivering high-quality residential schemes safely and efficiently.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard of quality.
You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers while maintaining strong communication with the wider project and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning and programming site activities to meet project timelines
* Managing subcontractors and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery
* Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety compliance on site
* Coordinating materials, labour, and supply chain effectively
* Ensuring quality control and adherence to design specifications
* Conducting site meetings, progress reviews, and reporting to senior management
* Building strong relationships with the local subcontractor and supplier network
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering housing or apartment developments
* Strong site planning, programming, and organisational skills
* Excellent knowledge of local subcontractors and supply chains in the North Devon area
* Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors effectively
* Strong commitment to Health & Safety and quality standards
* SMSTS, CSCS Card and First Aid at Work (FAW)
