Job Title: Tekla Draughtsman (Structural & Architectural Steel)
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience)

An established and growing engineering business based in Hertfordshire is looking for an ambitious Tekla Draughtsman with 2–3 years of experience who is ready to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will already have hands-on experience using Tekla Structures and be confident producing a range of steelwork drawings for fabrication and installation.

Key Responsibilities

Produce approval, fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings using Tekla Structures

*

Work on projects involving architectural and structural steelwork

*

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to ensure accurate detailing

*

Ensure drawings meet project specifications and industry standards

*

Support the design and detailing process from concept through to installation

Requirements

*

2–3 years’ experience using Tekla Structures

*

Experience detailing architectural and structural steel

*

Proven ability to produce approval, fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings

*

Good understanding of steel fabrication and construction processes

*

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

*

Ambitious and looking to develop within a growing company long term
