Health & Safety Advisor – Construction

We are currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support one of our key construction clients across multiple live sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining the highest health and safety standards across complex projects.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting operational teams, ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation, and promoting a positive safety culture across all project locations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide practical health and safety advice and guidance across multiple construction sites.

Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.

Support site management teams with the implementation and monitoring of safe systems of work.

*

Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, producing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.

*

Assist with the development and review of risk assessments, method statements, and safety documentation.

*

Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings where required.

*

Promote a proactive health and safety culture among site teams and subcontractors.

Requirements

*

NEBOSH qualification (mandatory).

*

Willing and able to travel between sites (mandatory).

*

Proven experience working within the construction sector in a health and safety capacity.

*

Strong knowledge of current UK health and safety legislation.

*

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

*

Ability to work independently while maintaining strong relationships with site teams and management.

Location & Travel

This role will involve regular travel between project locations, with coverage primarily across Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle-under-Lyme, and London. Flexibility to travel between sites is essential.
