MEP Quantity Surveyor / Aspiring Commercial Manager

A well-established and growing MEP contractor is looking to appoint an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who is keen to develop into a Commercial Manager role over time.
The business currently delivers £15–20m turnover across a portfolio of mechanical and electrical projects within the commercial, residential, and mixed-use sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their London office with a commercially driven individual who wants to play a key role in supporting and developing the commercial function.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants more exposure to the full commercial lifecycle of projects and the chance to work closely with the senior management team.
The Role
Working closely with the Directors and existing commercial leadership team, you will support the delivery of projects from a commercial perspective while developing the skills required to step into a future Commercial Manager position.
Responsibilities will include:

Supporting the commercial management of MEP projects from pre-construction through to final account
*
Preparing and managing subcontract packages and procurement
*
Assisting with cost reporting, forecasting, and financial control
*
Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts
*
Liaising with project teams, subcontractors, and clients
*
Supporting the development and improvement of commercial processes
*
Contributing to the commercial strategy of the business as it continues to grow
About You
*
Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within an MEP contractor or specialist subcontractor
*
Good understanding of mechanical and/or electrical packages
*
Experience supporting the commercial management of construction projects
*
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
*
Ambition to progress towards a Commercial Manager role
*
Able to work collaboratively within a growing management team
