Geotechnical Engineer

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing firm.

About the role: To deliver geotechnical engineering expertise on various projects and offer support on other projects where geotechnical expertise is required.

* Responsibilities:

* Work with the team to provide specialist geotechnical knowledge to our civil structures design teams

* Experience of HDD and other ‘no-dig’ technology designs and experience working on renewable projects

* Production of geotechnical investigation specifications, Geotechnical Investigation and Design reports per Eurocodes.

* Foundation, retaining wall, earthworks and pile design amongst others.

* Undertake Design Risk Assessments & prepare specifications for ground investigations

* Tendering processes & coordinate the production of tender deliverables

* Working in office and travelling to sites

Requirements:

* Civil Engineering and (near) Chartered

* Experience working on civil structure projects where geotechnical expertise was a key part of the role

* Experience within civil design environment preferably within a consultancy environment

* Full UK driving license and be willing to travel throughout the UK to various sites

* Experience of infrastructure projects, preferably rail or power sectors
