We are currently working on behalf of a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of projects across the Oldham and Greater Manchester area.
Our client has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality groundworks and civil engineering packages across residential and commercial developments, and due to continued growth they are looking to strengthen their site management team.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.
You will work closely with the Contracts Manager, engineers and subcontractors to coordinate activities on site and ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Managing site operations on groundworks and civil engineering projects
*
Supervising subcontractors and site teams
*
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
*
Managing health & safety compliance on site
*
Liaising with clients, engineers and internal project teams
*
Coordinating plant, materials and labour
*
Monitoring progress and reporting to senior management
*
Maintaining site records and documentation
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Site Manager within groundworks or civil engineering
*
Strong knowledge of residential or infrastructure groundworks packages
*
SMSTS
*
CSCS Card
*
First Aid (preferred)
*
Strong organisational and leadership skills
*
Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors on site
