Walker & Sloan are working with an outstanding regional construction contractor to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support projects across Bristol and the South West.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established regional contractor with a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering high-quality projects.

🏗️ The Role

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account while working closely with experienced commercial leaders.

Key responsibilities:

• Assisting with cost control, forecasting and reporting
• Supporting the procurement of subcontract packages
• Measurement and valuation of works
• Assisting with subcontractor payments and variations
• Supporting the commercial management of projects through to completion

✅ About You

• Experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Assistant
• Background working for a main contractor (desirable)
• Strong numerical and commercial awareness
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Degree or working towards a Quantity Surveying / Construction qualification
