Graduate Mechanical Engineer – Building ServicesPlymouth, Devon28,000 – £36,000 DOE Permanent We are seeking a very motivated Graduate/Trainee Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing team in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer with a passion for building services design to develop their skills within a supportive and dynamic environment.The RoleYou will work alongside experienced engineers to assist in the design and development of mechanical building services systems across a range of projects. This role offers exposure to all stages of the design process, providing a strong foundation for a successful career in building services engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting in the design and development of mechanical building services systems including HVAC, heating, cooling, and ventilation.
Supporting senior engineers with calculations, technical drawings, and specifications.
Using design software such as AutoCAD and/or Revit to produce and review drawings.
Participating in project meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Ensuring designs comply with relevant UK regulations and industry standards.
Contributing to innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
Support and Training will also be provided. About You
Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or qualified/experienced in a Mechanical role
Some experience in building services or a mechanical engineering role is desirable.
Strong interest in mechanical design and engineering solutions.
Good understanding of engineering principles and willingness to learn.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail.
